What is a Doula?
Doula is a trained professional who provides continuous physical, emotional and informational support to the mother before, during and shortly after childbirth to help her achieve the healthiest, most satisfying birth experience possible.
COMMUNITY BASED DOULA PROGRAM
Our community based doulas(CBDs) are trained to provide evidence-based perinatal education and doula support services to low-income women from second trimesters to baby's first birthday. Women in both of our programs, community-based and the birth doula programs are eligible for free social services, childbirth education classes, and parenting classes as well as kindergarten readiness programs. These services are free to our low-income families.
BIRTH DOULA PROGRAM
This program is for any women seeking a short term doula services. Under this program, our douals work with the pregnant women from the third trimesters till three months postpartum. Fees range from $800 to $1500. We also have sliding scale available.
